Scaph Club is a small reference site for recreational scuba divers — the name comes from scaphandre, the old French word for a diving suit, and this domain has pointed at diving content for over two decades.

The heart of the site is the dive pressure and depth unit converter. Diving is one of the few hobbies where you routinely juggle five different pressure units in a single conversation: your tank gauge reads in PSI, your European buddy's reads in bar, the tables speak in feet or meters of seawater, and the physics behind it all is expressed in atmospheres. Dive Pressure & Depth Unit Converter

Convert between the pressure units divers use every day: bar, PSI, atmospheres, kilopascals, and the depth-equivalent units meters of seawater (msw) and feet of seawater (fsw). Handy for translating tank pressures between US and metric gauges, following textbooks that speak in ATA, or comparing US and European dive tables. Uses the standard conventions (1 msw = 0.1 bar; 1 fsw ≈ 0.0306 bar).

This converter is a study and reference aid. It is not a dive-planning instrument and does not replace your training, your dive computer, or published dive tables. Depth-to-pressure equivalents use standard seawater conventions and will differ slightly in fresh water and at altitude.
